Aytakin (Ika) Aliyeva is a Forbes-featured Social Entrepreneur, Community Builder and the Founder of Femigrants Foundation. She graduated from Social Media, Communications from Middle Tennessee State University. Aytakin worked at Fortune 500 Tech Companies including NVIDIA, Instagram and ARVR (both acquired by Facebook) .Aytakin’s inspirational story has been published on several news media including Forbes, Intuit, Business Women, Times of India, BBC Azerbaijan and many other news media. Aytakin is originally from Azerbaijan. She speaks 4 languages including English, Turkish, Russian and Azerbaijani. She enjoys playing the piano and gets inspired by Yanni, Mark Eliyahu, Anna RF & smooth jazz.
Rishika is a San Francisco based Product Designer with a background in Fashion Design. Being an immigrant herself, she understands the importance of a supportive community that helps each other grow and succeed. Her goal is to make people's live better through research and design. When she's not working, you can find her reading books to her twins and browsing the internet for home improvement DIY ideas.
Farheena is a San Francisco Bay Area based Product Designer with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and an Associate’s degree in Web Design. Farheena, an immigrant herself, empathi z es with the Femigrants’ community and understands the support they may need to adapt to the new culture. She aims to continue creating usable products that have a positive impact on our society. She finds joy in caring for her plants and cooking food from different cuisines in her free time.
Khayal is a Software Development Engineer with Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Master’s degree in Computer Engineering. He joined Femigrants for the opportunity to prove himself as a team leader within a global project. Khayal’s main goal is to improve his skills in software engineering in line with global companies and continue his career in a foreign company. Although he is a Python developer, he is afraid of python snakes.
Turgut started his career as a web developer about a year ago. He speaks five languages and aspires to work for a multinational company in the future. Turgut joined Femigrants as a way to further his development while supporting its mission and values. When he’s not working, Turgut enjoys board games.
Murad is a full-stack web developer whose goal is to become an experienced DevOps engineer and work at a startup in Silicon Valley. Joining Femigrants has given him the opportunity to achieve this and gain more experience. Murad also has twelve years of experience in Counter Strike.
Margarita is a Project Manager with a background in marketing, legal services, government relations, media, and education. A recent immigrant herself, Margarita joined Femigrants to help spread the word about empowering women through social media and other channels. Margarita believes that marketing and communications should be used not only to sell products, but to raise awareness on socially important issues. She is an avid photographer and loves “amazonian” hobbies, such as archery, horseback riding and fencing.
Skye Vu is a Social Media Coordinator with a background in program management. Skye is a first generation Asian-American who is passionate about Femigrants’ mission to empower diverse female immigrants. She believes that social media has the power to bring people together and build a strong community. Outside of work, Skye loves to document new memories of the places she’s traveled through photos/videos and also spending quality time with her two dogs, Stormy & Prince.
Olga is a Communications Specialist with a background in organizational and interpersonal communications, event planning, and management. She immigrated to the Bay Area over twenty years ago and has joined Femigrants to help facilitate the spread of resources for other immigrant women. She believes a cohesive community will provide the support others might need in their endeavors toward success. Olga spends her time outside of work and university by surrounding herself with fire spinning, music, reading, and tending to cats and plants.
